Bishop Wordsworth's School is a selective boys' grammar school. As well as having an outstanding record for academic success, the School has an excellent reputation for sport, music, drama, and other extra curricular activities. BWS has had Language College status since 2004, and was awarded a Science Specialism in 2008.
Situated within the Cathedral Close, the School has always enjoyed close links with the Church of England; the Cathedral provides the setting for many of the School's formal occasions and monthly communal services.

We are looking to recruit a Development Officer to help continue the school’s effort to reconnect with its old boys. Preferably a Bishop’s Old Boy, the candidate will be adept at using social media and be generally IT savvy. The role is ideally full time, however the hours can be flexible.
Secondly, the candidate will be asked to cover lessons when teachers are absent. Experience in a school is vital for any PGCE application, and this offers a rewarding, paid way of getting that.
